We may be leaving this town in two weeks to head north to the mountains for ten days.
I am not 100% sure I am going to go just yet, it really depends on how many people they invite to go up there.
It is a small cabin and if a lot of people are going then it will be too crowded for me and I won’t go. I am not into staying in a small place with like seven people for that long, I think I would lose my mind if so. I will ask if the heating and cooling is working in the place to make sure I would be comfortable while I am there. We are supposed to play some music up there while we stay there and we may even get a gig in a ski lodge if it works out. There are many local businesses up there where we could play at, as long as a fireplace is there to keep us warm at night and they pay us a good fair amount. I would do a music set at a club up there for about $200, but not much less than that because we have played for many years and don’t like doing shows for cheap anymore. The HVAC company where I work still has me on board to do duct cleaning jobs here and there, but most of my income comes from doing shows in air conditioned and heated bars and clubs. I think the most I made doing a show was $3000 for this corporate gig where we played for three hours straight.
