I thought I was imagining things when I saw the Heating plus A/C serviceman drive into my driveway. I knew the Heating plus A/C serviceman was supposed to be at the house that afternoon, but he was two hours early. I thought it was unusual that he may have an appointment at the neighbor’s house on the same afternoon he was at mine. I walked away from the window & waved at my neighbor, who was resting on her porch, five minutes later, there was a knock on the door, & I thought it was the neighbor, but I was wrong. The Heating plus A/C serviceman stood at the door. He showed me his ID badge & said he was there to work on the heater. He must have seen the look of disbelief on my face. He asked if he was at the right house. All I could do was nod. I had never had an Heating plus A/C serviceman arrive early, & I could not speak. I finally found the words to tell him he was two hours early. He told me the other client he was to go to canceled their appointment. He apologized for not calling & letting me know he was going to be early, but he was just down the street. When he said he would come back later if this was inconvenient, I grabbed his arm & told him to come in, however not only was he two hours early, but he fixed the heating system within record time. I teased him & said Heating plus A/C servicemans worked faster when they weren’t tired. He laughed & handed me the paperwork & the bill for the heater.
