I thought I was imagining things when I saw the Heating & A/C specialist drive into my driveway.

I thought it was unusual that she may have an appointment at the neighbor’s home on the same day she was at mine. I walked away from the window and waved at my neighbor, who was resting on her porch. Five minutes later, there was a knock on the door, and I thought it was the neighbor, although I was wrong. The Heating & A/C specialist stood at the door. She showed me her ID badge and said she was there to labor on the boiler. She must have seen the look of disbelief on my face. She asked if she was at the right house. All I could do was nod. I had never had an Heating & A/C specialist arrive early, and I could not speak. I finally found the words to tell him she was two hours early. She told me the other customer she was to go to canceled their appointment. She apologized for not calling and letting me know she was going to be early, despite the fact that she was just down the street. When she said she would come back later if this was inconvenient, I grabbed her arm and told him to come in… Not only was she two hours early, despite the fact that she fixed the boiler within record time. I teased him and said Heating & A/C specialists worked faster when they weren’t fatigued. She laughed and handed me the paperwork and the bill for the boiler.
